Team 3812, Bits & Bots, is a First Robotics Competition (FRC) team created in 2011, that is based in Longview, Washington.

Currently, the team is operated through the Longview School District as part of Mark Morris High School and is located at Monticello Middle School; however, any high school student located in Cowlitz County is welcome to join.

New Students

We have recently seen a number of our long time members graduate, and so we are currently recruiting local high school students with a technical aptitude and a passion for robots!

Worried that you don't have enough experience? That's the point! We will teach you how to make robots.

New Mentors

Wondering if you would fit in? If you're interested in helping our young adults learn new skills and apply them, then we have a place for you. We believe the old adage that 80% of success is just showing up. No one here knows everything, but we don't let that stop us from getting things done.

That said, we are also specifically in need of experience in the following areas:

  • Mechanical and Electronic Engineering
  • CAD, 3D Printing and Prototyping
  • Welding, CAM & CNC Machining
  • Programming, Computer Vision, Simulation, etc.
  • Marketing, Financial, Project, and Business Management
  • 3D Animation, Audio/Video Production, and Social Media Management

Professional experience in one or more of these fields is great of course, but if you're a maker of any kind with a can-do attitude, we'd love to have you around.

To learn more about mentoring, we invite you to see FIRST's page on the subject.
